Paris Hilton was at Matsuri's in the Maritime hotel with two scruff looking guys, snogging with one of them the entire time on Saturday night.

tuesday night at the Bathing Ape party at Canal Room: my friend and I totally molested our idol Mos Def, who looked more than adorable in a hat and jacket of some kind....i can't remember what, because i was too busy gaping at the fabulously talented and very attractive man. we also stalked the talented and handsome Pharrell Williams, the nominal host of the event, and tried our damnedest to get up on the VIP stage to jump him. didn't work, but ah, we still have the memories.

.....just saw the Anna Wintour headed into Citi Corp building, E. 54th....wearing some sorta fur/skins/coat/wrap ensemble...I'm sure someone from Peta was trailing w/buckets of red paint...she must have been wearing at least 3 animals..

On Thursday, January 6 mid-afternoon, I saw Matt Damon trying to enjoy the MOMA with 2 of his people. We were on the 3rd floor of the museum, so he must've been there for a little while checking the new MOMA out. We couldn't tell if it was his manager and a friend, but it was definitely Matt. He looked very handsome and boy-like in his royal blue knit cap. Once he was spotted, several groups of tourist gals bombarded him for photos. After he was spotted, I could definitely see his frustration. Matt was definitely a fun sighting!

Went to the knicks game last night and saw perhaps the most random group of "celebrities" ever; sitting side by side were LL Cool J, Samuel L. Jackson (whom the crowd insisted on referring to as Coach Carter) and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Read that last name again and let it sink in. How did I know it was the Hot Rod you ask? Well, there were some initial signs, but I'd have to say the give away was the kilt, leather jacket and the "Hot Rod" t shirt. Not to mention when he stood up during a time out, flexed and flipped his kilt on the jumbotron. Hysterical.

Was in Cafe Bruxelles on Greenwich Ave for dinner last night and spotted Leelee Sobieski in the corner with a group. Seeing her in real life makes you realize they don't have to hot the makeup too heavily with her. She's really natural and pretty.

Slammed right into Eli Manning last night. He was getting off the elevator at a friend's building on Horatio St. when I was getting on. Very cute!!!

so none of these are very exciting sightings but it all ties together as a nice night: i went to the soho grand for a screening of the new julian schnabel (you look up how to spell it, i am way too hung over to care) movie, first off was willem dafoe, who is stalking me now, i see him everywhere, the last time was when he was carring a large tupperware container of pasta out of a bar on avenue C, he had brought his own pasta dish to serve at the party. so then there was julia stiles whose head is huge, sorry to say. i really enjoyed her fun dance movie and all, but is was like seeing stewie from Family Guy. It of course would not be a party unless i got really drunk and almost hit someone (on accident). Of course the someone this time was Edie Falco. Now she is very very attractive, but short, and short enough to have her head about where i hold my gin and tonic. As i was in a conversation i heard someone starting to say something to the man I was talking to, and so i turned, and ended up about a few inches from clocking mrs. Soprano. Then my can driver home told me i could give him a blow job instead of paying the fare. That was the cherry on top of a great night.

Peter Saarsgaard coming out of Florent Restaurant at about 7 on Wednesday night with a tall blonde woman. He looked a lot thinner and was very polite about holding open the door.

saw sean lennon on tuesday, january 11. he was standing in the middle of the sidewalk outside of guitar world on 14th street, staring off into space. he was wearing a bubble jacket and knit hat, and looked sorta cute.

saw sarah maclachlan at schnack last night in brooklyn.

Saturday night, 1/8 spotted John Mayer at #1 Chinese Restaurant. Was with a big posse of super cool types who danced enthusiastically to the retro music. Was pretty tall, very cute in person, nice skin. Yum yum.

Jan 10 - Saw NY stage and screen legend Ben Gazzara (from several Cassevetes' films and most recently of "Dogville") - on 86th and Park walking with a prototypical older UES woman wearing a long fur, oversized Wintour-style glasses, and walking a small sweater-wrapped poodle.

Saw Anna Paquin (Oscar winner at a tender young age, Almost Famous groupie) in my neighborhood Duane Reade, Columbus Ave. & 90th . I wasn t sure if it was her but then I saw her getting money out of the ATM, thus paying a fee when she could have withdrawn money for free by going to her own bank! I figured, if that isn t celebrity excess, than what is? Also, she was wearing a pair of real Uggs(ugh). She was very thin and very nice.

On Thursday i saw Chelsea Clinton in the theatre district amidst the post theatre crowd and tour bus pick up/drop off points, specifically at broadway and 52st St. in front of Tasti-D-Lite. She was wearing a pink 3/4 length coat and pink suede high heel shoes and looked like a walking bottle of pepto bismol. Apart from the obvious question, why wear suede shoes when you're walking in wet streets, I wondered why her family's secret service agents let her go out with that outfit?

Saw P.Diddy at my chiropractor's office. Dr. DeMann... no entourage... just a very courteous Diddy thanking the doc.

I saw the new Bachelorette, Jen Scheff, headed down to the men s section of Bloomie s SoHo on 1/9, perhaps shopping for her new bachelor boyfriend? When a young girl standing at the makeup counter nearby nonchalantly pointed her out to a friend, one of the Bachelorette s friends loudly and rudely proclaimed Yes. That IS the Bachelorette, and rolled her eyes as she walked away. Everyone at the makeup counter had a good laugh I mean, I am sure the last thing Jen wanted when she signed up for a reality dating show was to be noticed yeah, right.

Saw Matt Lauer at around 2:15 pm today on Park at 51st Street. He was pushing a stroller and talking to a fan.

kathy lee gifford at the opening night party of her new off broadway show "under the bridge"...she was nice to everyone. not particularly diffrent then she ever is. made a toast including "god bless you all"....very touching. also in attendance for opening night: donald trump and rosie o donnell.

1/09/05 saw hal sparks coming out of starbucks in times square. he had on jeans and a big smile...hes very short by the way. he went into the next building over. he seemed to be in a rush.

On Sunday (1/9), had brunch next to "D-List" celeb Kathy Griffin at Norma's. She was dressed casually but impeccably groomed with salon-perfect hair and lots of makeup. She was with a man (husband?) and a really cute boho couple (the woman wore pigtails and a bandanna), but Kathy seemed rather down. I feel kind of bad for her— after all that plastic sugergy, she doesn't look much different.

I was walking in Union Square down 12th street between 2nd and 3rd on Saturday night around 10pm and who should I see? Fabrizio Moretti (aka arm candy of Drew Barrymore and resident member of the Strokes)... He was walking with another guy who was looked like he was from the Strokes, but who can actually tell the difference between them all?

On my way to get some lunch today (1/10), I was nearly run over by Michael Musto (sans helmet) making a wide left turn from Lex onto 24th St. on a squeaky old bike. Get a helmet and some WD-40!

Saw Isabella Rosselini having brunch with a female friend, Sunday afternoon at "Le Pain Quotidien" at ABC Carpet & Home. She looked very stern, but beautiful and was having an animated and happy conversation in French. Both were a vision in all black with bright red lipstick that withstood any croissant or cafe au lait. She seemed to go unrecognized by everyone.

Saw a hat-wearing, surprisingly wrinkled Dennis Quaid on Houston and B'way (outside Crate&Barrel) multitasking: chatting on his cell phone while simultaneously ogling my 6'2" leggy blonde co-worker. In fact, he even did a 180 turn as she passed by. Funny, even though he recently tied the knot with another leggy blonde not 6 months ago, Mr. Quaid still seems to be shopping around for his future ex-wives.

Saw super-skinny Christina Ricci dropping off some old duds to Goodwill on 25th street.

Visiting friends and who should step into my elevator but Jason Biggs, who was incredibly polite in holding the door for me not once but twice, all the while talking on the cell about what sounded like a date from the night before (funny but to quiet seemed to be the consensus). Oh yea, he's maybe taller and better looking in person (and v. well dressed to boot).

I saw In Good Company and after we left, I spotted Monica Lewinski walking around the theater, then saw her again outside. I think she was alone. She was wearing this huge brown mumu and lots of makeup. She looked terrified. And she is fucking enormous now.

Saw Derek Jeter driving down 34th street last week, between 8th & 9th. he was in a Hummer. More importantly (sorry, I'm a Red Sox fan), I saw John Mayer on 45th st. tonight. I was a total stalker and asked him to sign my ipod. He happily obliged, although he did kind of give me a weird look. He's really hot in person.

Carol Alt at Barnes and Noble on 5th Avenue in Manhattan signing her new book Eating in The Raw for fans. She left the signing with a redheaded galpal and model guy friend. She was super tall in pumps and looking pleasant despite rainy weather.

After the Uma Thurman/Quentin Tarantino 'conversation' at MoMa tonight—during which the moderator, the New Yorker's Larissa MacFarquhar, could so little contain her boredom that she spent a full 90 seconds playing with her microphone during one of Uma's stories—we were standing around the front door discussing Quentin Tarantino's unbelievably red skin (alcoholism? sunburn?) when Rza (of the Wu-Tang Clan and Kill Bill score) came strolling out, comely lass in tow. He posed for a few photos, though the paparazzi seemed disappointed that he wasn't Uma. Then he signed a DVD of Kill Bill for some corpulent teenager with a bad haircut. You take what you can get, I guess.

Tuesday the 11th, around 8:30am: Just saw Chris Noth on my way to work. He was walking on 9th Street, between University Place and Broadway. He looked REALLY dissheveled - his hair was FUCKED up! Had he just woken up? Was he hungover? Still drunk? I don't know, but I hope he's okay. I don't even go out looking like that, and nobody knows who I am...

I may be the only one that this truly resonates with, but yesterday I saw Austin Scarlett from Project Runway on Waverly just east of Sixth Avenue. As usual, he was looking rather proper and Edwardian. His hair was longer than it is on the show.

Jan. 8 saw informal gathering of Real World/Road Rules crew at Dublin House (79th & Amsterdam). I passed their physical challenge muscling by Sophia and The Miz to get to the bathroom. The mental part came while watching Tina getting manhandled by a male companion. Stephen and Brad were on the prowl with the latter confirming suspicions by chatting up both a male and female companion of mine. Coral was at the center of attention, making me wonder if she could also join her breasts on the D-list.
