Last week was a crazy week for Condé Nast.

First, there was the announcement that Editorial Director James Truman was leaving, a fact that was important to some spiteful, superficial websites, and a few newspaper editors out there. Then there was the report of the $5.9 million embezzlement bust. (Oh, and the shakeups in the cafeteria!)

Anyway, in a shameless attempt to get us to link to his site, Francis Heaney runs an incredible insider report about a new scandal at 4 Times Square. Be prepared for many, many shocking photos allegedly taken inside Si Newhouse's ivory tower that reveal dangerous, irresponsible vending machine maintenance that may be costing Condé employees literally dozens of cents.

We have no idea how Heaney got the vending machine equivalent of the Pentagon Papers, but we salute his bravery in running them.
Unhappy vending [Heanyland!]
