This is a trashy story, but worth telling. From an anonymous emailer:

I was walking the dog this morning next to the trashy Citi Habitats on Hudson and Perry. and a black trash bag has been gone through outside their building: and old emails AND apartment applications—including names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, salaries, names of guarantees [sic.] (when appropriate) and, right, BANK NAMES—are strewn on the sidewalk. I kindly picked up a pile and shoved it back in the bag but two things came to mind: First, Really? No paper shredder? And secondly, isn't paper supposed to be recycled? There was a third thing, that had to do with private information being easily obtainable (apparently) before garbage pick-up in front of Citi Habitats...

Uh, oh. Someone had better alert Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bundchen, since as one of our Gawker Stalkers told us in July, those two were checking the listings at that same location.
