Kids. They grow up so fast and become marketing people.

According to today's Times, "Computer-savvy children, with encouragement from the toy and apparel industries, are transforming the old-fashioned handwritten wish list into sophisticated computer presentations..."

This couldn't be more endearing. As anyone who's had to endure a long, boring benefits meeting at the office knows, nothing conveys one's thoughts quite like a PowerPoint presentation.

Here's the description of one kid's holiday wish list:

"[A] colorful title page that covers all ecclesiastical bets by including a decorative menorah, a Santa Claus, a party hat, jingle bells, holly and— in case her parents want to defer some items for another special occasion—a birthday cake. Following are eight pages of toys, clothes and furniture, with Web addresses, prices, colors, pictures and editorial comments. ('Please I love these,' she wrote of a pair of Uggs.)"

Sunrise, sunset, right?
