Last night, a spy heroically (i.e., drunkenly) tapped out this brief account of Kathy Griffin's Christmas party. This strange menagerie of Hollywood's lesser lights immediately reminds us why Griffin's comedy show is called "The D-List." (We'll blame the booze for the spy's alphabetical upgrade of the attendees.)

Went to the Christmas party at Kathy Griffin's house tonight and there were more B and C listers there than you could shake a stick at.

Who, you ask? Luminaries such as Andy Dick, Ron Jeremy, Jamie Lynn DiScala, Alfonso Ribiero, Michael McDonald, Nicole Sullivan, and others whom I'm too drunk to recall at the moment. To top it all off, I stopped at Astro Burger for a midnight munchie-induced snack where I ran into none other than Last Comic Standing's Rich Voss and Bonnie McFarlane. I tell you, you could have booked Hollywood Squares for the next 20 years with all the people I saw this evening. An amazing time.

When Andy Dick is your party's ceremonial "center square," perhaps it's time to consider sitting out the holidays and hope the new year holds better things.
