The 'Post''s Friends In High Places
From "The Company You Keep" file comes this bit of 'Page Six' parent company pluggery:
New York Post publisher Lachlan Murdoch will accept the 100 Year Association's Gold Medal on behalf of our esteemed newspaper Thursday night at the group's annual black-tie dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria. Dinner co-chairs Steven Rubenstein, N.Y. Jets owner Woody Johnson, hotelier Jonathan Tisch, real estate developer Robert Speyer and Goldman Sachs partners John Waldron and George H. Walker (President Bush's cousin) will join Gov. Pataki in toasting The Post, which is being recognized for its outstanding contributions to this fair city. Brian Kilmeade of "Fox and Friends" will emcee.
Who knew our favorite 25-cent makeshift umbrella was so darned respectable? All those fancy-pants rich guys sure seem to think it is.
Could a Pulitzer be next? (No, it could not.)
