'Vanity Fair' Glosses Up 'Page Six'
The new issue of Vanity Fair hit the stands yesterday and in it, an oral history of "New York's most feared gossip column," Page Six (hey, Graydon, maybe now that you've sicced Wolcott on the internet, you could put the rest of your shit online so we could, like, share in the best of your monthly revelry). Former Page Six editor and current Daily News columnist Joanna Molloy reflects on the photo shoot of past and present editors:
In the photo, she said, "I look like the ghost of Page Six past! But Richard Johnson's like fresh mint. They didn't even put any blush on him." As for Claudia Cohen, she had her own hair and makeup people there, but that's not what bugs Molloy. "It's amazing she still goes to work on the Regis show," she said. "If I got $80 million from Ron Perelman, I'd be lying on a beach in Bali reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez."
It's true: Molloy's image seems to fade into the backlighting but Cohen, well, you can see her a little bit too clearly.
