'NYT' Gets Probed, Kind Of Likes It
Finally making the newspaper numbers "scandal" a little more complete, the Times has received a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney's office in connection with their ongoing investigation of circulation practices. Joining the ranks of Newsday, the Post, and the Daily News, the Gray Lady is the fourth New York daily to be investigated in the grand jury probe (and adds a little sparkle to the list, if we do say so outselves). The Times claims it has been assured by the Attorney's office that it is not at the center of the investigation, thus leaving its lawyers ample free time to prepare for their next inevitable debacle.
