If Possible, Tommy Lee Dumbs Down Wenner Media Even More

For no apparent reason other than to irritate magazine drones, inadvertent porn star and former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee made a special appearance yesterday in the venerable cafeteria conference room of Wenner Media. What followed was an exercise in retardation, according to a reader report:
I was invited to a "special luncheon" at the offices of Wenner Media in midtown, the parent company of Rolling Stone, yesterday, where the special guest was Tommy Lee, the musician and drummer probably most famous for his 2002 solo album, "Never a Dull Moment." That, and his work with Motley Crue. And the duet he recorded with Pamela Anderson. (I probably should have listed those in reverse order.)
He's got a new autobiography out, "Tommy Land," so he fielded questions from several Rolling Stone writers and editors about the book and about his upcoming "back to school" reality series. Highlights included some anecdotes about his interactions with the University of Nebraska drum corps and marching band, and how he was inspired to work with them on a new record. Oh, and his still-strong relationship with that woman who was hooking up with Kid Rock for a while. "She's the mother of my kids." Excellent observation, dude.
Occasionally, though, Tommy would get stumped, such as by hard-hitting questions like "what five songs do you love to play live?" That one had to be reduced to "what one song do you love to play live?" before he was able to answer it. That must be the Felix Dennis influence on Rolling Stone in action.
