Trendwatch Fall 2004: Blogs!
Today's a big day for the New Media Genre Of Blogging. Not only does the anonymous (and retired) writer behind The Minor Fall, The Major Lift come out to the Observer as Alex Balk (2nd item), but the New York Sun finally gets their stubby digits on some hot copy. Low Culture reports:
The article, by a writer named Eric Wolff (remember that name!), is all about a website called Gawker, which we plan to check out after we have our morning coffee! It also answers the age old question: Who gives the best soundbites, Cond Nast editorial assistants, or 'cyber-hostesses'? (It's a draw! They both bring the noise and the bite!)
Poor "cyber-hostess" Laurel Touby. Condé Nast always wins. Always.
Holy Shit, We Need To Get Ourselves One Of Those Blog Things [Low Culture]
