Jay Mohr reports on his website that he woke up yesterday morning to find that Last Comic Standing has been canceled...with only the final episode left to air. Say what?

Last Comic Standing is cancelled!!! This is shocking news to me too. I woke up on Wednesday morning and recieved [sic] the news. NBC was not happy with the rating of the show and decided to pull the plug. Keep in mind there is only one episode left and on that episode we were going to ANNOUNCE THE WINNER! Amazing. Why would a network cancel a show with only one episode left?

Hmm, how strange that LCS is canceled a week after NBC aired an episode in which comedian Jeffrey Ross joked that Mohr blew Tom Cruise to get a part in Jerry Maguire. Has anyone seen Jeff Zucker lately? He may yet turn up "drowned" in a six-inch-deep section of the L.A. River with a Cruise-Wagner Productions business card floating nearby.
