Yesterday we published a list of Gotham magazine's most eligible bachelors with the knowledge that some of the men were openly gay but playing it straight. We don't really care whether Gotham intentionally left out the status of these gentlemen or just tried to appeal to a broad audience (we're hoping for the latter, of course, but the evil version is more fun). We left it to you to declare the more dubious listees; your guesses after the jump.

You said: Overwhelmingly Zang Toi, who was one of the bachelors who referred to an ideal "partner." Noted that Toi "likes to wear skirts." Many of you also called out Sandy Gallin's "velvet mafia" membership.

You also said: Andrew Black, Clinton Kelly ("frightened by womens' underwear"), James Reginato, John Demsey, Michael Doneff, Bronson Van Wyck and Maximillian Tucci. Ed Kleefield merely for chosing to go by "Jean Luc." Bobby Short was also identified, but one reader said, "I don't think 'eligible' bachelor should mean 'eligible for social security benefits.'"

The jury's still out on: Hairstylist Oscar Blondi. If he were straight, why's he still single? Any crusty woman would love to have his highlighting skills all to herself. One of you noted, "The only female thing he touches is hair." Yet we've got reports of him recently sleeping with some ladies, so we're not sure. He could, of course, be playing for both teams.
