'Vanity Fair' Offices Stricken With Amnesia

When Vanity Fair's James Wolcott said magazine parties were dead, we thought he experienced a momentary collapse in memory. After all, everyone knows VF exists solely to throw celebrity-infested parties. But then Graydon Carter went and called the culture of celebrity viral, and we have to wonder if these Vanity men are sick in the head. The Daily reports:
Graydon Carter and this is a shocker can actually imagine a world without celebrities. When asked about the celeb saturation point, the tufty haired ed, sitting front row at Giorgio Armani replied, It s a virus, this whole celebrity thing. It d be wonderful to have the antidote. Wait a second, if the antidote was found, wouldn t that mean the end of your mag, Graydon? I think we d have a great magazine without all those celebrities, he replied, sincerely. Look for Carter front row tomorrow at Prada his second fave fashion label after Giorgio before he zooms off to Paris with Kelly Lynch.
Graydon, is that you in there? Can you hear me? How many fingers am I holding up?
