We apparently hit a chord when earlier discussing the poor practices of some major media outlets. Awesome! Time for another redact-o-rama. A delighted reader writes in:

Finally, your love-fest with tacky [BIG EDITORIAL DIRECTOR] ends! Bravo! The item today is absolutely true. [BIG EDITORIAL DIRECTOR] personally badgers reporters on their cell phones to get stories - and maybe throw around a grand or two. She runs around the office with a very worried look on her face - as she knows [BIG MEDIA COMPANY] is her last stop and she better get it right. She sits in the edit offices screaming at people - most often [FAMOUS COLUMNIST]. She's famous for interrupting her mid-sentence bellowing "[FAMOUS COLUMNIST]!!!" repeatedly - or whichever poor sap has gotten her attention. She had no idea that [FAMOUS COLUMNIST] had no reporting cred and even fewer contacts. [OWNER OF BIG MEDIA COMPANY] makes her and [FAMOUS EDITOR-IN-CHIEF] sweat and dance, and it's fun as hell to watch. Since the last year at this time, when she came on board, over half the staff she hired is gone. The LA office has nearly changed staff entirely twice. And the people that remain have gotten money incentives to do so.
