Graydon Carter Something Something Snore...
We give the LA Times credit: their endless piece today really wants Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter to look dirty. Of course, it's not hard at all to make his ties to Hollywood look filthy. But it's never gonna stick — no matter how many Conde Nast researchers he's got working on his personal six-figure book project.
Still, Graydon's defenders just look goofy: CBS head Les Moonves laughed at Graydon's producer income from CBS's 9/11 documentary, saying Graydon got paid "virtually nothing" — $50K. (New York state's median income from 2000 - 2002 was $42,432, but, you know, fuck the little people anyway.)
Whenever we mention GraydonGate, I get five nasty emails saying "It's a right-wing smear campaign, idiot!" Right. Because the directors of Halliburton start weeping every time scary Conde Nast editors publish editorials about Iraq.
