One Simple Step To Not Getting Fired
Two years ago, Jill Sieracki sent out an anonymous email bitching about office conditions and the general nastiness of editors at Hearst. It got around, and it also got her so fired — she sent the complaint from her official monitored Hearst email.
After the years of silence, Jill has now copped to being the kvetching letter-writer. We assume she's learned many lessons, but she never actually acknowledges the most important lesson of all: GET AN ANONYMOUS HOTMAIL ACCOUNT. Technology has paved the way for the culture of complaint, so take advantage of it, for crying out loud.
Jill's now the managing editor of Playgirl: if any of her assistants would like to give her a report card, do let us know at tips@gawker.com.
