Random gossip bits:

· Is Bloomberg News really closing its Princeton-Skillman, New Jersey offices? Reportedly, Bloomberg editor-in-chief Matt Winkler told New Jerseyans unwilling to commute to the NYC offices that "If your lifestyle is more important than your job, then you're at the wrong company."

· At last night's big Time Warner Mall opening, spies overheard West Side Highway glass box architect Richard Meier complaining about architect Costas Kondylis's bitchy comments about Meier in this week's New York mag. It's also been said that Meier was spotted making out with Cosmo sex columnist and unmoneyed socialite Baroness Sheri de Borchgrave. This begs the question: Why didn't we think of locking the attendees inside the Mall during the grand opening? That's a painful lesson we'll only have to learn once, I hope.
