Terrorist Sex Slaves Alert!
After a brief investigation, the NYT has called Peter Landesman's Sex! Slave! Trafficking! article "sound." Blogger and Chief Inquisitor Daniel Radosh reacts by Googling up the ramblings of some crazy dude regarding Landesman's past sins. (Is Googling and linking random results more or less journalistically sound than using Friendster as a source for quotes? Columbia J-School kids: please put together a panel on this.)
But here's something no one has thought to address: Landesman has given terrorists a new way to get suicide bombers into the US! Some random person writes in (scare caps original): "Peter Landesman's excellent research and article, although focusing on problems of prostitution, highlights far greater aspects of dangers to HOMELAND SECURITY. What easier way is there for a female suicide bomber or another evil minded individual to slip in and remain undetected, while forming ultimate risks to HOMELAND SECURITY?"
I can't wait! Hundreds of militant Islamist women, sneaking over the borders from Mexico and Canada with C-4 wedged in their g-strings. I'm sure they won't mind turning tricks for a few years before they can strike at the Great Satan. And everyone goes to heaven happy: the common lad mag reader won't even mind getting blown up as long as it's by a sexy chickie.
