God bless us every one: Clear Channel is preparing to trot out the old woman herself. That's right, Madonna is going on tour this summer. Undoubtedly she's begun super-oxygenating her carcass all winter in preparation. We also hear that the opening act will be presidential candidate General Wesley Clark, backed by dancing Iraqis.

The press release begs for mockery: "No matter what you call her, when Madonna hits the road this Spring for her first tour since 2001's Drowned World Tour, you can expect an evening of high energy entertainment!" That's good — over the decades of her love/hate affair with America, we've all called her a lot of things.

You can even get a piece of the action — you can partially sponsor Madonna's globe-trot for like five million bucks, according to Clear Channel, those delightful champions of the free market.
