Felker On the Tarnished Apple
Clay Felker, founder of New York magazine, pulls his punches a bit in a Folio interview:
I don t know what the unique point of view of New York is now. They have many stories that are very good. But you get the feeling that they are scrambling around to do special issues to sell advertising. It s not consistent.
God, that's polite of him. I would have thought he'd say something more like, "Who took a big steaming dump on my magazine?"
