PSA: Don't Walk on Water at Soho House
Just a little public service announcement:
If you should be an English journalist — a totally random example here, let's say you're Mr. John Gapper from the Financial Times — there are things you should know about visiting New York's hotspots. Let's use the roof of Soho House as an example.
Soho House's roof is all tented up for the winter. Very cute. But that isn't a big blue underlit disco floor in the middle of the tent — it's actually a swimming pool. So one is advised to not try to walk across it, otherwise one will end up very surprised, nearly drowned, and quite wet for one's dinner date.
