After the months of hubbub about Cargo, the second men's shopmag is announced: Vitals, spawned from Details, is due out in September, 2004. (Why didn't they just call it Vittles? Fools.)

In 2004, men really will be the new women. (That's at least better than Jews being the new Blacks. 2004 is gonna be a long year for the Jews, what with all the cultural co-option and stuff.)

I'm not counting Stuff, of course: it's really still a pin-up-girl lad mag, with a slightly wanky overtone, whereas Cargo and Vitals are clearly designed to make every man feel like a burly hairy voraciously-consuming pretty lady.
