Paul Colford: Live and Let Die
Mediabistro interviews Daily News media-man Paul Colford today. Pretty dry. Mr. Colford reportedly enjoys emails such as "Out here in the Midwest, we don't give a damn about Bonnie Fuller."
Today in Colford's Hot Copy column: ex-Timesman Howell Raines is shopping two books; both sound rather stuffy. Primedia, publisher of Civil War Times and Paper, Film & Foil Converter will launch a "What happened next?" magazine about reality show contestants. We knew that was coming.
And, most important item: lunch between ad-man Donny Deutsch and movie-man Harvey Weinstein. Final bids for Primedia's New York magazine are due Thursday, and baby, baby, I can't wait. So, Harv and Donny discuss: Do they want to own a little magazine together?
(Me, I'm going to impress Primedia on Thursday by just plunking down my cash. I've got to find time to get that money order at the Post Office by Thursday! I don't want to carry all those dozens of dollars around Manhattan.)
