Michael Wolff: Quintessential Caricature?
Upon my return to Manhattan from Miami this evening, I went immediately to the deli. Manhattan has, after all, perfected the deli-as-art-form as our gift to the world, and I desired to worship.
What's the first thing I saw in that delicious deli? Michael Wolff's big face on the cover of the New York Sun: Wolff Sales Sluggish! It's so good to be home: I missed the catfights and the crudities and, well, the hatred. "Mr. Wolff is the quintessential caricature of Manhattan s insulated, effete, and self-important insider," writes Russ Smith in today's funny little profile, and it only gets crrrrazier from there.
God, it's true: I heart you, New York. I'm never leaving again.
