The Shrivernator, new Queen of California, is back at work at NBC. She and the network now must figure out what news stories La Maria may cover without conflict of interest.

Shouldn't be too hard. As Romenesko quotes from USA Today: "A sampling of her recent stories includes a piece on a Botox lawsuit filed by the wife of a powerful Hollywood mogul; an interview with singer Celine Dion; stories on the Scott Peterson and Robert Blake criminal cases; and a story about whether to hold the Oscar ceremonies during the war in Iraq." So it's not like we expected an expose on, say, California's crippling energy crisis out of her anyway.
