· "Last night, after a couple of flicks at Tribeca Film Fest (including the unbelievable 'Song for a Raggy Boy' with Aiden Quinn), went to Tribeca Grill (where else?). While waiting to go, a woman in a black leather jacket walks in and asserts to the hostess, 'I'm Nora Ephron and THAT's my table.'"
· "Larry Clark and Warren Fischer from Fischerspooner at the opening of "8.5x11" at jen bekman. making an appearance late in the evening were some lunkheaded cops who were unnecessarily rude and aggressive about clearing the street (traffic on Spring was nearly blocked). everyone decamped directly across the street to Sweet & Vicious for the afterparty, amid loud threats of summonses and arrests. (way to support new downtown businesses! go NYPD!)"
· "Saw the Culkin brothers...Macauley & Kieran on Sunday 5/11 Mother's Day at 12:00 on the corner of 79th & Broadway. Kieran was carrying flowers & Macauley a Virgin bag & they looked like they were on their way to see Mother Culkin."

· "Britney Spears at the Underbar in Union Square Saturday night. She said hello to everyone in the ladies room."
· "Saw Moby today walking down Rivington Street with a hat on and listening to his iPod. Wondered what he was listening to."
· "Paul Rudd @ Veselka, Friday night, around 9:30"
· "Saw Victor Garber (Alias, Legally Blonde, First Wives Club) at 7:30pm on Saturday night, walking in front of Osteria del Sole on the corner of W. 4th and Perry. He was walking alone and moving pretty fast. He kept looking around as if he was trying to find something."
· "saw Janeane Garofalo Saturday Day around 2:00 pm sitting (and just seemilingly staring out of ) in the open window of Lucky's juice joint. (i think its called juiceteria now actually). She looked tiny, no makeup and then dishelved look. Shes sorta cute in her indie way though."
· Friday night at the Tribeca Film Festival showing of Diner, most celebrities including Barry Levinson, Kevin Bacon, and Steve Gutenberg were on the VIP-only boat, the only place where alcohol was served. (Who watches movies you've already seen six times without drinking?) The exception was Spalding Gray, who sat in the plebe seats with us hoi polloi. For half an hour before the movie started, he stood up and faced the rear, along with his wife/girlfriend/whomever, who looked like she could be Julie Delpy's mom. He looked nervous, like he was expecting someone else to arrive. They never did."
· "2nd Ave and 6th St—-James Iha (very short, very thin, too much 'brow) walking, making very concerned faces at pair of arguing drunk Brit rock guys...later on Friday, still on 2nd Ave—if I thought Jack Osbourne would be in the City, wearing the same tennis headband as always and accompanied by a lithe blonde indie rock girl, then I would know that I saw him and not just some random boy with bad hair...even later on Friday, 1st Ave and 14th St—Rider Strong, very animatedly talking to some other teevee actor type who I can't place. I only know his name because of my sad Law & Order: CI addiction. And if anyone watched this Sunday's rerun episode, he is the teacher/terrorist."
· "I doubt I properly sent the message from my cell phone
Friday night, but at the 7:00 show of "Wigfield" at the Jane St. Theater, I was sitting right near Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, who scored 4th-row aisle seats. They sat down early and didn't get fawned over by anyone in the audience, even though they didn't look they were trying too hard to avoid detection. After the show they were standing around talking to Todd Oldham, with Tim Robbins towering above the whole group. After seeing her only in costume for so long, it was also weird to notice what skinny legs Amy Sedaris really has. Also, I hung out with an out-of-town friend who was here with Steven Soderbergh's younger brother to attend Soderbergh's wedding. He was wed by a judge in his 22nd St. apartment, where they then held a reception. Apparently his mother and the mother's boyfriend cornered Diane Sawyer at dinner, forcing Soderbergh to send in people to try and liberate her."
· "Sat., 9:30 pm, Matt Damon in a skull cap buying two bottles of red wine ($50) at Warehouse Liquors at Astor Place."
